Q2 2024 Round-Up: Top Pirate Games on Unified Platform

As we set sail through the second quarter of 2024, the pirate genre remains a popular escapade for mobile gamers. Sensor Tower has hoisted the data flag, giving us a glimpse into the performance of the top five pirate-themed games on the unified platform. Here’s what the treasure map of data tells us about these swashbuckling adventures.

Sea of Conquest: Pirate War by FunPlus International AG saw a fluctuating revenue trend starting with $10K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly $12K by the end of June. Downloads dipped from 768K in the first week to 314K in the last week of June, while weekly active users (WAUs) decreased from 1.7M to 1.3M over the quarter.

Pirate Kings™ from Playtika LTD witnessed modest revenue figures, starting the quarter with just over $1K and climbing to $1.2K by mid-June before settling at $1.2K in the final week. The game had a minimal number of downloads but maintained a steady base of active users, hovering around 40-50K throughout the quarter.

JOYCITY Corp's Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW experienced revenue that swung like a ship in rough seas, with an initial $523 and a spike to $1.6K mid-quarter, before a descent to $755 in the last week. Downloads showed a slight increase over time, and active users, which were non-existent at the start, grew to 38K by the quarter's end.

Samfinaco LLC's Roger That: Merge Adventure! sailed a rocky course with revenues starting at $350, dipping to $166 in May, and then nearly tripling to $451 in the third week of June. Downloads were sporadic, and WAUs decreased slightly from 101K to 61K over the period.

Go Go Magnet! by Oh BiBi had a modest revenue journey, with numbers starting at $116, peaking at $231 in early May, then settling at $106 by the end of June. The game's downloads saw an early surge but later stabilized, and while we don’t have active user data for this title, the download trends suggest a consistent interest.
